I am interested in making art from the ground up. Be it a ceramic pendant that is wire wrapped by hand, a piece of pottery thrown on the wheel, or a painting, I enjoy creating something out of raw materials. I believe the craftsmanship in my pieces comes from combining technique, knowledge, and my imagination. My art reflects my background in art history. I am inspired by pieces from early Medieval Europe up through the more modern art movements of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Arizona State University; I graduated in 2005 with an emphasis in ceramics.
