Back in Wisconsin, I was introduced to Stained Glass in high school and was immediately hooked on this medium. The color variations, movement, depth was very mesmerizing to me. Spending a majority of my weekly salary at the glass stores over the years, I decided to apply for a part time job at a local store in Tempe. I landed that job and allocated that check for my glass addiction. During that time, I delved into the art of fused glass and torch work, as well as being a stained glass instructor for beginners to advanced. Since I created my first humble 6 inch fused dish, I knew I was in trouble.

In the past 13 years, I have taken classes from several local, national and international acclaimed glass artists;  learning techniques such as fusing, glass blowing, manipulation of glass (my personal favorite), embossing glass and mixing mediums. Nothing like manipulating 1800 degree glass! Working in a high-stress corporate environment, playing with glass is my meditation.  Once in the studio, I get lost in my own little world and purge the events of the day. A majority of my inspiration comes from nature and cosmic energies. Some of my work has been displayed in Jerome and Sedona. Expressing myself through glass brings me great peace and passing that peace on to others is what it’s all about for me.
