I have been a professional studio potter since 1974- and a pottery teacher since 1998. After working hard to do several art shows and craft fairs a year, I have settled into a comfortable rhythm of balancing my three main interests into part time teaching, part time pottery making and part time music playing at art openings and restaurants around town.The more relaxed schedule has allowed me to explore specific components of each endeavor more fully and to develop more depth in each art form.
The unifying theme in my work is that it all must be completely functional. Not because of any belief that all art should be judged by any one criteria, but because I like useful stuff.
