"Support: something that holds up structure" works by Molly Koehn

Artist Reception:
First Friday, July 1st, from 7-9
July 1-31

Our July Artist, Molly Koehn, melds sculpture, drawing, and fibers into works depicting the relationship between humans and nature.  She explores how each leans on the other for support. By showcasing their interconnectedness, these lines of support begin to blur and the question becomes: What (or who) is supporting what? Are we supporting nature or is it the other way around? Koehn explores these questions with each piece, not only through her designs, but through her methods for supporting the works on the wall. Her ingenuity and creativity will leave the viewer with a heightened awareness of these reciprocal relationships.
