“Random/Refined” works by Tom Budzak

Artist Reception:
First Friday, September 1st, from 7-9
Exhibition:
September 1-30

Everywhere you look in nature you can see multiples… the hundreds of leaves on a tree branch, the thousands of tiny spikes on a cactus, the millions of pores in your skin.  This obsession with tiny multiplying dots has been evident in Tom Budzak’s work for years.  This new work in Random/Refined, explores adding these dots to new shapes that seem to form and grow and multiply indefinitely.

About the artist:

Tom earned a BFA from Arizona State University and an MFA from New Mexico State University both with an emphasis in Ceramics. He is currently an adjunct professor at South Mountain Community College, a Master Instructor Teacher at the Mesa Art Center, and maintains a studio practice.  Tom lives in Tempe, AZ with his wife Melissa and son Ezekiel.
