"Electric Love" by Julio Cesar Rodarte
Exhibition: May 1- May 31
Reception: First Friday May 1st, from 7-9

Even as a young boy on his parents’ farm in Zacatecas, Mexico, Julio Cesar Rodarte sought beauty in the small things. In the fields, he collected organic matter with strong geometries and developed the geometries further in his sketches. Today, Rodarte continues to craft beauty out of hardship. Despite his frustrations with immigration, sexual identity politics, education, and depression, his canvases have become sites for the creation of balance and order. His works host joyous colors designed to radiate positive energy.
